Camp Lejune
(Marine Corps Base)- Camp Lejeune has been the home of “Expeditionary Forces in Readiness”, and throughout the years, it has become the home base for the II Marine Expeditionary Force, 2nd Marine Division, 2nd Marine Logistics Group and other combat units and support commands.
Camp Lejune Theater Schedule Midway Park Theater Schedule New River Air Station - CAS New River is the primary United States Marine Corps helicopter base on the East Coast and supports aircrew training for the helicopters operated by Marine Corps aviation units. McCutcheon Field is named in honor of Brigadier General Keith B. McCutcheon, one of the pioneering figures of Marine helicopter aviation.
Camp Geiger is a United States marine Corps Base. Although not geographically connected, Camp Geiger is part of the Marine Coprs Base Camp lejeune complex and is home to the US Marine Corps School of Infantry East for all Marines recruited through the Eastern Recruiting Region. Beirut Memorial - Memorial of Beirut Veterans of America, who fought the first battle against terrorism. Pelleteir House and Wantland - Built by Rufus F. Pelletier in mid-1800's. This Greek revival designed home is the oldest standing structure in the city of Jacksonville. Wantland Spring is dated to 1731. Emerald Isle - All you have to do is to ride down the Ocean Drive, or Emerald Drive in Emerald Isle, NC and open your eyes and take a look around to be able to see that Emerald Isle is a quite magnificent place, quite possibly one of the most beautiful places on the Crystal Coast. Topsail Beach - Situated at the southern end of Topsail Island, off the coast of southeastern North Carolina, the Town of Topsail Beach is the smallest of the three communities located on the 26-mile long island. North Topsail Beach occupies the northernmost section, and Surf City, the largest town on the island, is in the center. The Island is just off US Highway 17, about half-way between Wilmington and Jacksonville.
Onslow Beach -Located between the Intracoastal Waterway and the Atlantic Ocean aboard Camp Lejeune, is maintained by the Semper Fit Division of Marine Corps Community Services, for all active duty, retired military personnel, civilian employees, and their family members. The island features an MCCS convenience store, pavilions with changing rooms, volleyball courts, a playground, and guarded swimming areas from Memorial Day to Labor Day. Onslow Beach is now a PET FRIENDLY Beach! Now you don’t have to leave your four legged family member at home while you play at the beach!
